Conclusion

Throughout the images I chose, I realised that a lot of my favourite pieces included a range of colours, making the work bright and eye-catching. I find that this resonates with my own work as I like to make sure that my work is eye-catching, I also consider the colours I use in my work very carefully which can also be seen in the images as they show that the artist has taken a lot of time to come to a conclusion of what colours to use.  I also found that with the works of Saskia Wariner, and Gemma Correll they related a lot to my own practises as they tend to make their drawings simple, and they take on a more cartoony aspect to the images, which I think resonates with my work as the figures that I include within a lot of my pieces have the same aspect to them. I find that they represent the human body, without making it a portrait. And as I don’t like to make my figures very lifelike as I like the way they appear, without making them look realistic, I find that I relate to these artists. And find that I could use them to help me better my future work, as I could make sure the figures resonate that they were created by me, either by using a similar colour scheme each time, or just having a signature look/ drawing style.
I would like to learn and pursue the techniques of artists such as Jamel Akib, who just uses paint in order to create his portraits, I like how he makes a portrait look realistic but with only using one process whilst doing this, I would like to learn this process as in the future I could develop my ideas to be shown as a continuous image, a lot like his. I also like the work of ben frost, as I would like to learn his techniques, In the sense of collaging images together to deliver a message, I also like his processes of drawing on the top of packaging as I think this looks very effective, and I think that I could pursue this technique in regards to my future pieces, for example if I was tasked with advertising certain products.

In regards to technological advancements I find that a lot of work is now created digitally, this means that future possibilities for my work would be to create my images digitally in order to explore how artists are using digital media in order to create their masterpieces. I think that the industry is ultimately inspired by digital artworks, and so is experiencing a growth in art work produced digitally, meaning that there Is a decline in the traditional methods of creating art such as painting, but more specifically using coloured pencils. I think id fit in as I can create work both digital and non-digital and this would therefore allow me to target my work to fit in with the current market. It will also allow me to consider what medium to use when creating work, as I will be able to research what materials would help me branch my work out to be unique, but at the same time to be relatable to the set brief.
